Parking brake adjusting nuts, In older model years are the normal M6 nuts and to adjustment to ensure there is an additional M6 nut turned up, in the younger years of construction, the principle of adjustment changed with an offset plate which ensures that when one side slapper comes to stand this is compensated for the other side so that both handbrake cables at equal tension remain. For proper operation the adjuster nuts on one side tapered fit snugly in the compensation plate to fall and the whole is also stored here an M6 bolt to rotate. These nuts are adjustable over the years ever lost or corroded but are still new and are available.
