Speaker grill with grill, today, it is normal that there is a standard radio and speakers in the car, which was quite different from our classics. Volkswagen brought it to the preparations but the radio and speakers had to be reordered. As an option The preparations consisted only of the necessary cutouts where the speaker and radio could be installed. The place for the radio was fitted with a blanking plate and place the speaker was nicely finished. From model year 1953 t / m 1957 the opening speaker finished with a chrome grill situated behind a grille to protect the speaker. From model year 1958, the speaker of the center moved to the left of the counter. The mounting tabs which must be bent to the grill to lock break during disassembly, and often way is thus the main reason that replacement is necessary. The speaker grill is supplied with underlying protective grille what possibly is available separately.
